Another one from Philippa! squeeeeeeeee

In this one, we have been introduced to Mary, Queen of Scots and her not-so-called-affair with George Talbot. This is a really intriguing book, since the first impression to her story during her imprisonment at England. In a blink of an eye, you start to think that Mary is guilt of all the charges against her but in a few pages, you can change your opinion and starts to worrying that she might suffer from something she never did! Such amazing book… you’re gonna red it so many times unltil count! LOL

Well… in this one, my only comment is… I HATE LORD ROBERT DUDLEY! Do you know when you’re reading a book and then you start to think of an actor who would be exactly as you thought for that character? In this case, I always see Lord Robert Dudley as Henry Cavill * squeeeeeee * … but as Elizabeth is not one of my favorite characters, this book is a very well written, and has Gregory’s magical touch!

The Queen’s Fool by Philippa Gregory

This one is by far my favorite from allllllllll  the Gregory’s books! Different from all the others, this one will not deal only with a Queen and their kingdom, but also show us how a normal girl will have her life upside down after start to work with the realty. And we are not talking about a random girl, Hannah has the sight, she can see things that no one else can, including scaffold behind Thomas Seymour a few years back, and less than a year he’s sentenced to death. She also sees angel Uriel behind Lord Robert Dudley and John Dee. After all those incidents, Hannah is requested by the king Edward VI to be his Holy Fool, and then Hannah enters at the unholy world of Tudor Dinasty where she will play a major (but fictional) character during the intrigues between Mary and Elizabeth. Hannah’s personal story is another amazing piece in this so complex puzzle, as a Jewish, she’s running away from the Inquisition that ravage her beloved Spain after saw her own mother was burnt at a stake as indicating an heresy. To try to live freely, she travels around the Europe with her father, dressed as a boy where the head to England, where she is promised is marriage to Daniel Carpenter, another running Jewish. In so many aspects, Hannah’ story is more developed than any other I have ever seen.

Anyone can see that I've read The Tudor' saga by Gregory in the beggining of this year and thet I'm a Philippa's major fan! :) She has probably the best writing I have ever seen.
 But, for me, The Boleyn Inheritance is just a book to fill some blank spaces in Henry’s life. 6 wives, all of them so different than another. In this book we are presented to Anne of Cleves (the poor lady who never had the power to persuade Henry in any way), Catharina Paar and some others. Really… I do love Philippa, but The Boleyn Inheritance is not one of my favorites books actually … L

The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory

This is how everything started … First of all, I decided to read “The Constat Princess” just because of the cover… nothing more than the cover who caught my attention. After the first 25 pages, everything change. Suddenly I see myself drowning at the Catherine of Aragon’s world, feeling her pain for the non-expected husband death and her prior wish to be the Queen of England. Catherine is by far my favorite from “Henry’s wives”. I have never heard so many things about her… usually everytime someone mentions any of the Henry’s wife, the first of that pops on your head is Anne Boleyn, and it’s so damn wonderful to know that someone decide to enter so deeply in Catherine’s mind and heart, to show to the reader a new side of this so amazing Queen. Catherine is usually know as the non-wanted Henry first wife, the daughter of Aragon; but there were a few who really knew Catherine as the Queen she really want to be. The beloved woman who could not follow her daughter during her latest days. A book that should be read and re-read as soon as you might be able to.

1 down! 99 to go! LOL! Probably today I'll add anothers... let' see how it will work!
